You’ve had your time
to sit and sulk and whine
about how unfair the design
has been in this bitter climb.
You were right to fight for what you believed in
but you were wrong when you did not leave when
you knew there was no way to save ‘then’.
Making things worse by how you were behaving.
It is time to turn your attention
from the effects of past transgression,
where any attempt at reconciliation
will be perceived as aggression.
Instead you must look for progression
up this steep hill’s unrelenting elevation
to the what affects the future’s mission,
the safety and elation of our children’s generation.
Come on brother, I know you have had it rough
and I’m not saying you gotta be ignorantly tough,
but you have given enough and enough —
its time to give the rest up to God above!
